Guggenheim Museum
Worth a detour·Museum Mile, Upper East Side·I’d go back
Great but small permanent collection. Extremely exhibit-dependent: only one big exhibit at a time, hit-or-miss. Current curator is heavy on contemporary, which is unfortunate.
What it is
Frank Lloyd Wright–designed modern art museum with an architecturally significant spiral rotunda.
